The Pure Springs - Healthy Baltic project brings together the forces of NGOs, science, bloggers, public and authorities to observe socially important springs and rivers and identify possible sources of pollution. We promote sustainable management solutions to reduce negative impact on natural waters in the Gulf of Finland basin. The project will result in proposals for changing legislation in the field of state control over small rivers and springs.
The research results are posted on the Public River Watch Map. Data on the springs water quality are also posted on the map “Springs of the Leningrad Region”.
The Pure Springs - Healthy Baltic project of Friends of the Baltic NGO is supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation. Detailed information about the project here.
