Отчет описывает проблему закисления (асидификациии) вод Балтийского моря и бассейна Балтики, а также арктических морей, содержит последние данные научных исследований, анализ уровня знаний о проблеме в обществе и примеры гражданских инициатив, которые способствуют распространению информации о проблеме закисления вод и её решениях.

Friends of the Baltic experts have created an overview of existing practices in education about climate change. The review includes an analysis of existing approaches and materials for education and awareness on climate change and climate action and contains many interesting examples. The material includes well-developed, well-known and widely replicated materials and techniques from Russia, which have been tested in real conditions.

On September 23 in St. Petersburg's "Friends of the Baltic" and "Ecocentrum" hosted a round table on cooperation between educational, scientific and public organizations for the protection of nature. Participants find out about the past year results of the Friends of the Baltic programs and the programs of the new 2019-2020 academic year for everyone to participate.

Our friends and partners gathered on New Year’s Eve to discuss important environmental issues and outputs of last year’s projects: more than 20 public river watchers joined us, thus 27 new marks appeared on the map. Clicking on them, one will learn the river nitrate and microplastics content.

Training-seminar on Cooperation for Nature and Climate was held in St. Petersburg on September 19. Friends of the Baltic and Ecocentrum organized the event. Participants were teachers, activists of non-governmental organizations and partners from scientific organizations and high school.

Green tour in the center of St.Petersburg

«Sennoy Okrug» municipality held a cycle of environmental events for residents, in July 2018, located in the center of St. Petersburg. The Green tour was the key event of this series of events. Experts of Friends of the Baltic NGO, a long-time partner of the municipality, organized a lecture in educational exhibition Ecocentrum, about the ecological situation in the city and the choice of green solutions to reduce the negative impact of people to nature. They also told about the environmental aspects of the city environment: city transport, landscape ponds in city, as well as rivers and canals.

On May 12, the "Sea-Climate-Energy" and "Microplastic" information stations launched "Friends of the Baltic" as part of the fifth international environmental campaign "Clean Coast". The action took place on the Tarhovka beach in the Kurortny district of the city on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland. It was devoted to improving the ecological state of the coast of the Gulf of Finland, the formation of ecological awareness of the younger generation and the active population of the city, as well as the development of environmental volunteer movement in the field of environmental protection.
