Water and climate: the consequences of climate change in the region

On August 26, Friends of the Baltic held a media tour for journalists and bloggers, during which they talked about the relationship between climate change and the state of aquatic ecosystems. The participants of the event drove along the northern and southern shores of the Gulf of Finland to points with vivid examples of the consequences of climate change.

On September 23 in St. Petersburg's "Friends of the Baltic" and "Ecocentrum" hosted a round table on cooperation between educational, scientific and public organizations for the protection of nature. Participants find out about the past year results of the Friends of the Baltic programs and the programs of the new 2019-2020 academic year for everyone to participate.

Our friends and partners gathered on New Year’s Eve to discuss important environmental issues and outputs of last year’s projects: more than 20 public river watchers joined us, thus 27 new marks appeared on the map. Clicking on them, one will learn the river nitrate and microplastics content.

Training-seminar on Cooperation for Nature and Climate was held in St. Petersburg on September 19. Friends of the Baltic and Ecocentrum organized the event. Participants were teachers, activists of non-governmental organizations and partners from scientific organizations and high school.
