On September 23 in St. Petersburg's "Friends of the Baltic" and "Ecocentrum" hosted a round table on cooperation between educational, scientific and public organizations for the protection of nature. Participants find out about the past year results of the Friends of the Baltic programs and the programs of the new 2019-2020 academic year for everyone to participate.
September 6, “Friends of the Baltic” represented the School Project on Application of Resources and Energy (SPARE), the All-Russian contest of school projects on energy and resource conservation “Energy and the environment” and the poster exhibition “Energy Efficient Building” at the festival “Together, Brighter” in the city of Luga in Leningrad region.
Schoolchildren and teachers – participants of the 20th annual regional contest "Energy and environment” know why and how to save resources and energy. On February 27, the youth conference "Climate, energy and environment" dedicated to the results of the regional contest" Energy and environment" of the 2018-2019 academic year was held at the environmental volunteer center. The competition is part of the all-Russian school project on application for resources and energy (SPARE).
Friends of the Baltic continues activities within the Days of energy saving in St. Petersburg, which is in case from September 15 to the end of October as a part of the all-Russian festival of energy saving #VMESTEYARCHE2018. On September 25th, the Open Doors Day was held at the Ecocentrum exhibition of the Friends of the Baltic NGO, and on September 28th, a seminar was held for teachers to create climate plans for schools. At all events within the framework of the Festival, we introduce Al-Russian School Project for Application of Resources and Energy to the participants.
On September 15th, Friends of the Baltic took part at the all-Russian festival of energy saving #VmesteYarche-2018. The festival took place in the center of St. Petersburg on the spit of Vasilievsky Island near the famous Rostral columns. We organized an interactive platform for all visitors from children to adults and senior citizens. Everyone showed a great interest in energy suitcase, the "Energy efficient building" exhibition and materials of the SPARE project*. We answered some tricky questions and talked about the available ways of energy saving.
On May 12, the "Sea-Climate-Energy" and "Microplastic" information stations launched "Friends of the Baltic" as part of the fifth international environmental campaign "Clean Coast". The action took place on the Tarhovka beach in the Kurortny district of the city on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland. It was devoted to improving the ecological state of the coast of the Gulf of Finland, the formation of ecological awareness of the younger generation and the active population of the city, as well as the development of environmental volunteer movement in the field of environmental protection.
